2023 Treasure Coast Pre-Season Softball Rankings

#1 Southfork went 12-6 in 2022. We have them ranked 1st in our Preseason Rankings and project them to win the 5A District 14 Championship. Coach Rolle will have a very solid team offensively and defensively along with a strong pitching staff.

The Bulldogs had only 3 Seniors graduate. 

Key Losses, Taylor Beurrier and Ashley Anderson.

2023 Key Players: Junior Katie Kidwell pitched 98.1 innings last season with 107 strikeouts and had a 2.71 ERA while hitting .289 at the plate. Junior Abbey Moore led the Bulldogs offense hitting .407 and had 9 doubles. Junior Alice Dewaters hit .364. Sophomore Emma Ortiz hit .333 and Sophomore Abbie Dewaters hit .324.

#2 Jensen were 11-11 in 2022. We have them ranked 2nd in our Preseason Rankings and project them to win the 4a District 13 Championship. Head Gillooly is losing 7 Seniors but will have some very good returning players along with one of the top pitchers on the Treasure Coast.

Key losses include Shawna McNair and Shanna McNair.

2023 Key Players: Junior Mallory Wheeler is one of the top players on the Treasure Coast on the mound and at the plate. She hit .457 with 3 home-runs and on the mound, she pitched 130 innings with 155 strikeouts. Junior Martha Jones hit .356 and Senior Annalise Buncy hit .294.

#3 Sebastian River went 12-7 in 2022. We have them ranked #3 in our Preseason Rankings and project them to win the 5A District 13 Championship. Led by Head Coach Bob Rahal who graduated 5 Seniors last year.

Key losses: Jay Seay, Lily Seay, Jensen Redish, Alyvia Villars

2023 Key Players: Senior Malia Binafif hit .425, Senior Victoria Wehrberger hit .325 and led the pitching staff with a .90 ERA. Junior Jasmin Huber hit .275 and Senior Amonty Johnson hit .311.

#4 Okeechobee went 12-9 during the 2022 season. We have the Brahmans Ranked 4th in our Pre-Season Rankings. Head Coach Kelci Breaux will only be losing 3 Seniors. We have them coming in 2nd in the 5A District 14.

Key Losses: Madison Hargraves, Elle Thomas

2023 Key Players: Junior Mallory Collier hit .453, Senior Jaclyn Pearce hit .350, Junior Lexi Thomas hit .347, Junior Rylie Tucker hit .342, Senior Angel Collier hit .333, Sr Morgan Hancock, Sophomore Shaniya Davis hit .293, Senior Laci Prescott had a 2.26 ERA along with batting .276 at the plate.

#5 Treasure Coast went 11-8 during the 2022 season. Head Coach Floyd McNair will be losing 4 Seniors. We have them winning the 7A District 11 Championships.

Key Losses: Cassidy Curd, Brooklyn Lyons, Emma Kohler

Key Players: Junior Felicity Fonseca hit .463 and Senior Brylea Rusler had a .32 ERA last season on the mound and should have a great year.

#6 Vero Beach went 16-8. Coach We have them ranked #6 in our Pre-Season Rankings and project the Indians to come in 2nd in the 7A District 11. Coach Aquaria Baines will only be losing 3 Seniors.

Key losses include: Justice McKinney, Victoria Brown, Cheyenne Roberts

2023 Key Players: Senior Jasmynn McKinney hit .379 and Junior Emma Youngblood hit .331, Junior Dayna Patten had a 2.08 ERA on the mound last season and pitched 107.2 innings.

#7 Centennial went 12-8 during the 2022 season. The Eagles are led by Head Coach David Slover will only be losing 3 Seniors. We have the Eagles ranked 7th in our Treasure Coast Pre-Season Rankings and project them to come in 3rd in 7A District 11.

Key Losses: Gabriella De Jesus

2023 Key Sophomore Hailey Brereton had a 1.88 ERA on the mound last season and should lead the pitching staff this year. Junior Keyhara Alleyne hit .338, Sophomore Autumn Prakash hit .375, Senior Victoria Hazelton hit .273.

#8 Martin County went 8-10 during the 2022 season. We have them ranked 8th in our Preseason Rankings and project the Tigers to come in 3rd in 7A District 10. Head Coach Kelvin Vargas will be losing 4 Seniors.

Key Losses: Mary Polak, Brooke Vega

2023 Key Players: Sophomore Ciana Vargas hit .442, Senior Bayli Legg hit .462, Junior Gabriella Waldbauer hit .278, Junior Taylor Synowski hit .333.

#9 John Carroll went 16-10 during the 2022 season. Head Coach Rico Rosado will be losing 4 Seniors. We have the Rams ranked 9th in our Pre-Season Rankings and to come in 2nd in 2A District 13.

Key Losses: Kaley Brancaccio

2023 Key Players: Sophomore Isabella Ramirez hit .500, Junior Sophia Loreto hit .421 and had a 2.30 ERA on the mound, Senior Cameron Haughton hit .353

#10 Lincoln Park Academy went 7-9 in the 2022 season. They are led by Head Coach Ashley Langel will be losing only 1 Senior. We have them ranked 10th in our Preseason Rankings and placing 2nd in the 3A District 13.

Key losses:

2022 Key Players: Senior Callan Kloecker hit .481, Senior Madison Davis hit.467 and had a .074 ERA on the mound, 7th Grader Justice Monds hit .340

#11 Ft Pierce Central went 5-12 in the 2022 season. Head Coach De De Justice will be losing 3 Seniors. We have the Cobras Ranked 11th in our Preseason Rankings and project them to place 4th in the 7A District 11.

Key Losses: Oli Black, Keianna Angelotti, Adia Macias

2023 Key Players: Junior Kirsten Phillips hit .391, Sophomore Lilly Herndon hit .362, Senior Nevaeh Hussey hit .333,

#12 Port St Lucie went 1-16 during the 2022 season. Head Coach Guy Tibbetts will be losing only 2 Seniors. We have the Jaguars Ranked 12th in our Preseason Rankings and project them to place 4th in the 5A District 14.

Key Losses: Alexis Wilson, Jayda Linares

2023 Key Players: Sophomore Adrianna Becker, Junior Kennedy Moody, Junior Alyssa Lowe, Sophomore Emilee Roca


#13 Westwood
went 1-13 in the 2022 season. The Panthers are led by Head Coach Ursula Johnson-Braswell who will be losing 5 Seniors. We have Westwood Ranked 13th in our Preseason Rankings and Project them to come in 3rd in the 5A District 13.

Key losses: Quetteria Hall, Lajahna Plain

2023 Key Players: Sophomore Henryunia Plain hit .565, Sophomore Katelynn McNamara hit .400, Sophomore Emaleigh Davis hit .400, Junior Michaela Thomas, Sophomore DeVaria Dickerson hit .300.
